Lifeguard

Swimming is one of our guests’ favorite activities, and as a lifeguard you ensure they can enjoy the swimming facilities at the park without worry. You will, for example:

• Supervise guest safety and act when necessary;
• Keep logs of incidents during your shift:
• Provide first aid, CPR, or perform rescue swimming when needed;
• Check the slide and pool area for safety and hygiene;
• Work with your colleagues to clean and tidy the swimming facilities and surrounding areas.

Of course, you’ll also have the occasional chat with guests and enjoy the friendly holiday atmosphere at the park!

De Flaasbloem is one of the larger RCN Holiday Parks, located in the charming province of North Brabant, close to cities such as Breda, Tilburg, and Antwerp. Surrounded by nature, the park is filled with the scent of pine trees and fresh forest air, and you’ll often spot squirrels darting through the woods.

The park offers a wide variety of accommodations and facilities, including a restaurant, snack bar, recreation hall, and indoor swimming pool. A unique feature is the beautiful recreational lake located at the edge of the park.

Thanks to the dedicated teams in hospitality, recreation, reception, housekeeping, technical services, and grounds maintenance, guests can enjoy a wonderful holiday experience throughout the year.

• You have experience as a swimming pool attendant, lifeguard, or in rescue swimming, or you are willing to gain this experience at RCN.
• You have knowledge of at least one foreign language (preferably English).
• You hold a first aid (EHBO) / emergency response (BHV) certificate, or you are willing to obtain it through RCN.
• You are available from May to September 2026.
• You are willing to work weekends and holiday periods.

• Working in a holiday atmosphere: Your employment conditions follow the CAO Recreatie, and your all-in hourly wage is based on your age:
  • 16 years: €6.06 per hour
  • 17 years: €6.94 per hour
  • 18 years: €8.80 per hour
  • 19 years: €10.55 per hour
  • 20 years: €14.07 per hour
  • 21 years and older: €17.58 per hour
